Drayton's Sewing Club for adults and children will be held for the first gathering on Wednesday, Jan. 15th in the FACS room at 6:30 p.m. If you park on the north side of the school you can come in through Door 8. Please feel free to bring drinks and snacks. Come with plans that you'd like to make or learn to do and we can learn together! If you have a project you are currently working on feel free to bring it to share. We'll work out a schedule and times to meet. Please don't worry if you can't make it, flexibility is key. If you have any questions, please feel free to email, Facebook, or call me. I look forward to seeing everyone and meeting new people!

Lost and found items from the lower elementary. Please claim your students' items by end of the day Monday 1/13/25 as items will be donated at that time. Thank you!

Congratulations to our very own Violet and Alyssa Hoyles on their wrestling successes! 🏅 Rumble on the Red at the Fargodome was 22 mats of constant wrestling with over 2000 participants! Girls have been a part for the last 4 years. In Violet and Alyssa's weight classes there were over 100 girls combined, 58 different teams over 4 states. Girls with mission to be their best! Alyssa placed 6th and Violet went 4-2 and just missed the podium!

Anyone that responded to the sewing club , could you please tell what days and times work best for you to aide in my setting up a meeting calendar. How often you would you like to meet in a month? Is anyone opposed to having one of the meetings be at The Zoo for Sip'n Sew, otherwise the meetings will be at the school in the FACS (Home Ec) room.
Thank you all! I look forward to meeting you all!

FACS students would like to thank everyone who donated shoe boxes and sewing material & notions! It was a wonderful turn out and the kids, as well as myself, want to say thank you for the wonderful donations - we truly do appreciate the generosity. We are still taking shoe & boot boxes, and material & sewing notions donations that can be dropped off in the main office. Thank you again from the FACS Class & myself.

🏅 Congratulations to Alyssa Hoyles for placing 1st to Violet Hoyles for placing 3rd today at the tournament in Grafton! Great job, girls! 👏🏻

📚🛒 PreK’s Grocery Store Adventure! 🛒📚
To wrap up our study on grocery stores, PreK took a field trip to 1878 Grocery Co.! The students got a behind-the-scenes tour to see how the store operates and even had a turn to be the cashier—what a fun experience!
Before the trip, our class created a grocery list together with ingredients to make guacamole after reading the book Guacamole. 🥑 At the store, the students used their list to shop for everything they needed.
Back at school, we worked as a team to prepare the guacamole and shared it with our Kindergarten friends. It was such a great hands-on way to bring our learning to life!
Thank you, 1878 Grocery Co., for hosting us and giving our students such a wonderful experience!

We are one of the two drop off sites for the Drayton BIOGirls baby drive! Please consider donating if you are able!

Mrs. Quimby is inquiring if any students from the 6th - 12th grades have an interest in joining an after school sewing club. Skills such as hand sewing, machine sewing, embroidery & cross stitch would be taught. Guests would be brought in to teach knitting, crocheting, and/or quilting. If there is an interest, the club would be one day a week on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:15/4:30, starting the 2nd semester.
Experienced or beginner, all are welcome!
Please email Mrs. Quimby at shelly.quimby@dps19.com or message at 701-317-1211
